Back from another short trip to still no appreciable snow on the ground and brooding clouds enveloping the mountain and downtown skyline. I feel for the local ski hills! They must be having a disastrous holiday season.
Back from vacation to freezing temperatures (a thin layer of ice is starting to form in the harbour) and a bright moon. Looks like it won't be a white Christmas here. Boo. But, happy holidays everyone!
Well, most of the snow has melted and we're left with a hard-frozen dusting here and there. Caught a bit of the sunset on the left lighting up the harbour tower. Winter is here.
Well finally, here it is. The first big snowstorm of the season. 30 cm is forecast. I guess tomorrow's rush hour is going to be a typical" first storm of the season s**t-show". And, lo and behold, a cargo ship has docked at the Alexandra pier, which recently only gets cruise ships. Perhaps this one will stay there for the winter, like in the old days.
Broody, foggy city last night. People living in the highest towers probably didn't see much of their million-dollar views. The temperature was high enough that precipitation still fell as rain.
Nice evening last night. The sun has just set behind downtown, behind a few benign clouds. Still no snow, yet December is upon us. Today was ugly and rainy.
